Hit & Run Exclusive: Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

Now that they've been engaged for more than two years, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are used to showing off their romance on red carpets. But in their upcoming comedy Hit & Run, the real-life couple takes their love to the big screen.

In this iVillage exclusive featurette from the film (in theaters Aug. 22), the couple explains that their relationship shaped the idea for the movie.

"I thought I was making a dude's movie," says Shepard, who wrote and co-directed the film. But collaborating with his fiancee helped steer the movie in a different direction.

"It's really weirdly romantic," he says. "We were all kind of shocked."

"We made Love Story 2!" Bell adds.
