Daniel Baldwin's Estranged Wife Arrested, Threatened to Kill Him

It's been a rough week for Joanne Baldwin. The estranged wife of Daniel Baldwin turned herself into police in Oregon, after admitting to consuming alcohol, which was in violation of her recent DUI charge. She was arrested on Wednesday and is being held in jail until July 20.

In addition, Daniel, 50, filed for divorce on Tuesday, claiming that Joanne threatened to kill him on numerous occasions. He even obtained a temporary restraining order against his wife of four years.

According to TMZ, the actor describes the threats in his court declaration. He says his wife once came into their bedroom after watching a documentary on women who kill their husbands. "Now I know how to do it, I understand why they did it," Joanne reportedly said. "You have been warned." Daniel added that their daughter heard the comment and asked him, "Is Mommy going to kill us?"

The couple met in 2006, when Joanne was a chef at a rehab facility where Daniel was getting treatment for his drug addiction. They have two young children together, and Daniel currently has temporary custody of them.

"Due to recent events in our home and for the safety of my children and myself, I have made this decision," Daniel said in a statement regarding the split. "I've had my share of problems with drugs and alcohol and know first-hand how difficult a position she is in."
