Peaches Geldof Welcomes Baby Boy Astala!

It certainly has been quite the year for celebrity pregnancies in 2012, as everyone from Hilary Duff and Jessica Simpson to Kristin Cavallari and Reese Witherspoon have been a part of the baby boom - and now Peaches Geldof is the latest new mom!

The British beauty first announced she was expecting earlier this year, and on Saturday (April 21) she took to her Twitter page to share the exciting news of her little one's arrival, tweeting, "yes, it's true - I'M A MUMMY! My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds @tomfromscum's finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever."

Geldof's fiance, Thomas Cohen, also took to his social media page to express his joy of becoming a dad, writing, "I'm a dad he is the most perfect thing ever so proud of his beautiful mum @peaches_g and overcome with joy x."

Just a few weeks ago, the 23 year-old dished to Hello magazine that she and her man were planning on naming their new little boy Astala.

Sticking with the decision, Peaches, who is no stranger to unique names as her full name is Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof, ended up naming her new bundle of joy Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof.

The baby's birth comes as the socialite and her S.C.U.M. frontman mate announced their engagement in December of last year, though a wedding date is unknown at this time.
