Exclusive: A Baby Girl For Beyonc

beyonbaby1_wide.jpg
Beyonc has seen a lot of dreams come true in her life ? but this one tops them all. The singer has learned she?s expecting a girl, an insider tells In Touch exclusively.

?Beyonc is thrilled she?s having a daughter,? confides a close friend of the singer?s, explaining that while Beyonc and her husband, Jay-Z, would be happy to have a healthy child of either sex, she?d secretly been hoping for a girl. ?She and her mother are so close, and she?s wanted to have that relationship with her own child.?

And though she and Jay-Z, 41, are like a second set of parents to their nephew Daniel, Beyonc is a girlie girl at heart and longs to share her passion for sparkly outfits with a Mini-Me. Indeed, the singer ? who adores the clothes her mom, Tina Knowles, designs for her ? has been so eager to play dress-up with her baby that she?s already been breaking the bank at stores ranging from Gucci and Louis Vuitton to Gap and OshKosh B?gosh. ?Her family?s afraid there won?t be anything left to buy for her baby shower in December!? the friend laughs.

For more details about Beyonc and Jay-Z?s baby plans, including how the two will decorate the nursery, pick up this week's issue of In Touch.

'Lone Ranger' Is 'Built Around Tonto,' Director Says

'You've heard the Lone Ranger's story; you just haven't heard it told from this guy,' Gore Verbinski tells MTV News.

Now that Disney, Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp have ironed out most of the budget kinks surrounding their production of "The Lone Ranger," we can all rest easy that the masked man and his trusty sidekick Tonto are headed to the big screen soon.

When MTV News caught up with Verbinski at the Hollywood Awards Gala Monday night, where his quirky animated film "Rango" received the Hollywood Animation Award, we asked how he was feeling about the film and what his plans are for the adaptation.

"I feel great. We're not shooting a Western in the middle of winter; the whole thing is pushed into a more reasonable time of year, so now we have to go make the movie," Verbinski said, speaking to the film's new May 31, 2013, release date. "There's been a lot of talk. Hopefully in a year and a half we'll have something we can talk about."

Verbinski went on to say that he's been hard at work on the screenplay for two years and that the central character is not the Ranger.

"It's all built around Tonto," he said. "You've heard the Lone Ranger's story; you just haven't heard it told from this guy, and he was there."

Depp has already teased that their take on the beloved duo's Western adventures will be "interesting," to say the least.

"I like the character. I think I have interesting plans for the character, and I think the film itself could be entertaining and very funny," he said. "But also I like the idea of having the opportunity to make fun of the idea of the Indian as a sidekick — which has always been [the case] throughout the history of Hollywood. The Native American has always been a second-class, third-class, fourth-class, fifth-class citizen, and I don't see Tonto that way at all. So it's an opportunity for me to salute Native Americans."

Chris Brown is set to star in a new movie alongside Meagan Good & Sherri Shepherd.  Get the deets inside.  Plus Samuel L. Jackson becoming the highest grossing actor of all time. And take a peek at Paula Patton's new trailer for "Mission Impossible: 4"...

Breezy's still sharpening his acting skills these days.  He is set to play the lead in the upcoming movie Phenom.  The storyline:

With the NBA playoffs right around the corner, the press learns that the league's new hotshot player -- a young man who went pro after high school -- is the illegitimate son of an aging NBA star.  The player attempts to make a life with his newly found father and step brother.

Henry Simmons is attached to play the Father (sr. Phenom), Donta Storey as Chris' half brother, and Grayson Boucher as Chris' bestfriend. Meagan Good is also likely going to play his love interest.  While Sherri Shepherd has a role as well.

The movie is slated to begin shooting mid-2012 after Chris releases his next album FORTUNE.

Paramount Pictures has unveiled a brand new trailer today for "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," starring Tom Cruise and Paula Patton.

"M:I4" is set to hit theaters on December 21st.

And word has it Samuel L. Jackson grossed over 7 BILLION during the span of his career.  The Guinness Book of World Records posted the tidbit, and NY Daily News reports:

Samuel L. Jackson has grossed an astounding $7.42 billion over the span of his entire film career by the Guinness Book of World Record.

Jackson, 62, received his biggest break in the industry, starring in the 1991 Spike Lee film "Jungle Fever." Since then, the actor has appeared in over 100 films from his critically acclaimed performance in "Pulp Fiction" to landing a recurring role in the galactic space film series "Star Wars."

WOW.  This isn't clear on if he made this much salary wise or if the movies he was in grossed this amount total--but either way, it's a FAB accomplishment.  WORK.

The Randomness:

1.  President Obama's speechwriter pitched a new TV show loosely based on the First Family that will likely get pocked up by NBC.  Nice!  Story

Eva Longoria Gets Political

evaglam1_wide.jpg
Eva Longoria hit the Glamour Reel Moments premiere red carpet on Monday in Hollywood, wearing a bright blue dress for her directorial debut. Eva, who looked stunning in her blue dress, told In Touch she chose her outfit because she was going to the state dinner at the White House after the premiere, and she thought it looked democratic.

The actress, whose short film premiered at the event, also discussed her inspiration for giving back. ?I have a very philanthropic family, so I was raised with charity giving and compassion. I?m inspired mostly by my older sister who has special needs, Lisa. So being part of her world and seeing people who don?t have what you have and who need more than you need kind of instills in you this empathy and compassion for life.?

Now that she?s had a hand in acting and directing, what does Eva prefer? ?I like them both. Directing definitely gives you more control of the end product. As an actor you just show up and look pretty, say your lines, say them right. But as a director, you have total control of the editing and the final product and the music, I mean just everything, so it was definitely different muscles that you had to use.?

Will she ever direct a feature film? ?I?ll definitely be doing a feature length in the future, not any time soon because it takes a lot of time.?

New Line Cinema Lands ?Category Six? Spec

Mike Flemingpost thumbnail EXCLUSIVE: Ending what turned out to be a brisk week for material, New Line Cinema just closed a spec deal in the $300,000 range for Category Six, a script by John Swetnam for a “found footage” natural disaster movie. The film takes a first-person POV through video cameras and cell phones to tell the story of high school students who try to survive the worst tornado in U.S. history. The film will be produced by Todd Garner through his Broken Road banner. Garner hatched the idea. David Boxerbaum at APA and Jake Wagner made the deal. The material market has been sluggish until recently, but this is the latest in a flurry of specs and pitches that sold this week. In fact, Category Six is the second one today that deals with extreme weather: Fox just acquired Riders On The Storm, a pitch that will be penned by Sean O’Keefe about a crew that pulls a series of heists in an extreme weather event. The scribe most recently sold his script Evidence to Bold Films.

Robyn Says 'No Tricks,' Just Treats At O Music Awards

Super Swede will headline the O Music Awards 2, on Halloween at 11:30 on MTV, MTV.com and VH1.com.
By James Montgomery, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf

She's opened for Katy Perry, shared the VMA stage with deadmau5 and absolutely killed it at club shows, but Swedish pop-queen Robyn has never headlined an awards show (mostly because, who has?).

That will all change on Monday night, when she takes the stage at the O Music Awards 2 in Los Angeles to close out the show. And just how is she preparing? Well, much in the same way she prepares for all of her gigs: with a maximum focus on making people move.

"I'm planning to play with my band as usual, no tricks, just like what we always do, which is usually just try to make people dance and have a good time," Robyn told MTV News. "I think it's gonna work this time. I'm gonna perform as many songs as I can. We'll see what we'll be able to fit in, but I've been told I get to do as many songs as I want to, so I'm gonna try and fit as much as I can. Maybe not a full show, but a little more than you usually get at an awards show."

Fans can catch Robyn's set — and a special tribute to late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, courtesy of the Flaming Lips — beginning at 11:30 on Monday night, when the O Music Awards 2 are broadcast on MTV. The rest of the event will unfold across a number of the Viacom Music Group's websites, including MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com, LogoTV.com and MTVHive.com.

Additional presenters and performers include Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Alabama Shakes, Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator, Travie McCoy, Midi Mafia and DJ Diamond Kuts.

Oh, and just in case you weren't aware, Monday also happens to be Halloween, so, in addition to blowing folks away with her headlining set, Robyn is also toying with the idea of getting in the spooky spirit. Which means that there's a very good chance you might get to see her rock not only the stage, but a costume, too.

"Maybe I should," she smiled. "I dressed up as Robin, you know, 'Batman and Robin' at this costume festival once in Texas, I think it was in Texas. [No,] Comic-Con. At San Diego's Comic-Con, so I may have to do something like that. I'll think about it."

The O Music Awards 2 will unfold on Halloween on OMusicAwards.com, as well as MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com, LogoTV.com and MTVHive.com. Fans can vote for their favorites and get updates at OMusicAwards.com.

Chris Brown has already dropped F.A.M.E. this year, and now he's prepping for the release of his follow-up album, Fortune. The singer tweeted some of the titles of the singles on the album, which is expected to drop before year's end.

"Continue requesting WET THE BED [off F.A.M.E.] at ur radio stations. Also, the new singles from FORTUNE are being mixed!" he wrote on Twitter. "STRIP [off his Boy in Detention mixtape] is one of the singles off of FORTUNE so request at RADIO!"

In addition to "Strip," Breezy shared a few more song titles from the album. "I'm also really excited about the release of my single titled 'BIGGEST FAN' produced by the RUNNERS!" he said, before retweeting a message from his production team. "@chrisbrown 'Biggest Fan' is gonna be epic!! And wait till they hear what else we have in the vault together! Ha!"

In other Brown-related news, if Team Breezy can't wait to hear what he's cooking up for Fortune, that's just fine. The singer even tweeted a link to a song he penned for his pal Justin Bieber's Christmas album, Under The Mistletoe. It dropped as more songs off the November 1 release are hitting the Internet, including tracks featuring Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes.

The track is a melodic R&B jam about making Christmas special for someone you love. "Be my babe this Christmas eve/ Be my holiday/ My dream/ Lay your head on me, I got you babe," he sings on the chorus. "Kissing underneath the tree/ I don't need no presents, girl/ You're everything I need/ Let me give you all of me/ Together on this Christmas Eve."

If it feels like Brown is everywhere these days, that's because he certainly is busy. He's wrapping up his tour next week before he begins work on his next film, "Planet B-Boy," alongside "Lost" star Josh Holloway. As the title suggests, it's a look inside the world of b-boys and breakdancers.
