Duchess Fergie Not Invited to Prince William's Wedding

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has reportedly received the ultimate snub from the royal family: She is not invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's upcoming wedding. According to her spokesperson, Fergie, 51, "never expected to be invited" to the wedding of her nephew William, and has plans to be out of the country. But other sources say that Ferguson was in tears over the news.

"Sarah is devastated that she hasn't been invited," an anonymous friend tells PopEater. "Hasn't she been punished enough by the family?"

Ferguson was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 to 1996, but they were separated for the last four years. During that time, Fergie scandalized the Windsors with her extramarital affairs. Her relationship with the Queen's family has been strained ever since, despite that fact that she raised Andrew's two children -- Princess Beatrice, 22, and Princess Eugenie, 20. Both daughters are among the 1900 guests invited to the wedding.

"Sarah was hoping that the wedding would provide her with the opportunity to spend quality time with the family and prove she can and does deserve to be part of the family," says PopEater's source. "Any hope she ever had of being invited back into the fold is over."

Although Fergie didn't get her own engraved invitation, the rumored invitees include Sir Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, and the Prince's favorite rapper, Kanye West.
