Samantha Ronson Charged with DUI, Faces 6 Months in Jail

After a DUI arrest, Samantha Ronson is facing the possibility of time behind bars, and we don't mean the kind with colorful drinks and ear-pounding music.

The celebrity DJ and ex-girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan, who of course has had her own problems with alcohol, is now officially charged with two misdemeanors after being stopped on Aug. 1 for driving under the influence.

Ronson, 33, was charged with a DUI and driving with a blood alcohol level above .08, Us Weekly reports. She faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.

Ronson was pulled over near Baker, Calif., at 10:30 a.m. last Monday for driving her black Porsche Targa 89 mph in a 70 mph zone. She had deejayed at Lavo nightclub in Las Vegas on Sunday night and into the wee hours Monday morning, and was on her way home when she was stopped. After showing signs of impairment and declining a breathalyzer test, she was booked at the sheriff's jail in Barstow, Calif.

A booking photo of her smirking visage has now joined the pantheon of other notorious mugshots, including Paris Hilton and Matthew McConaughey.

Her pose was perhaps not a wise move, but in other ways she handled herself better, by not making her situation worse by becoming combative or obstinate with police. "She was friendly and talkative," an officer said. "She was cooperative throughout the whole ordeal."

Ronson, who dated Lohan, 25, from 2008 to 2009, was alone at the time of the arrest. No word on whether LiLo is helping out with any legal advice or suggestions on what to wear to court.
