Ashanti, LeBron James & Denzel Washington Hit The "Great Futures Start Here" Launch In DC

As she prepares for her new album, Ashanti Douglas looked fabulous today in DC today, along with LeBron James and Denzel Washington on behalf of the "Great Futures Start Here" campaign with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.  Get the deets and pics inside.... 

 

Earlier today, Ashanti, LeBron James and Denzel Washington appeared at The National Press Club in Washington, DC for the "Great Futures Start Here" Campaign Launch.  All are part of the new Boys & Girls Club campaigns shot recently (and also benefited from the programs themselves).  So they're all about giving back.

Ashanti rocked the dark peony "Jacket Dress" from Black Halo.  Very cute.

The campaign is a program launched by The Boys & Girls Club Of America.  Ashanti, Denzel and LeBron are ambassadors for the organization.

The three celebs each took turns on the mic offering words of encouragement to the kids.

Afterwards, they posed for pics.  Great to see our YBF celebs reaching out to the kiddies.

 

Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) today announced a star-studded new Public Service Advertising (PSA) campaign, featuring 21 notable Club alumni dramatically showcasing the impact of the Boys & Girls Club experience in transforming the lives of young people.

The PSA made its debut this morning during this event this morning.  The ad features 21 notable Boys & Girls Club alumni including Denzel Washington and Jennifer Lopez (co-national spokespersons), Ashanti, General Wesley Clark, Misty Copeland, John Paul DeJoria, Cuba Gooding Jr., Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mario Lopez, Ne-Yo, Edward James Olmos, Lucille O'Neal, Shaquille O'Neal, Smokey Robinson, CC Sabathia, Martin Sheen, Courtney Vance, Kerry Washington, and Shaun White.

"This campaign represents an amazing level of star power, but these alumni all participated because they know firsthand the lifelong impact a Boys & Girls Club has on young people," said Roxanne Spillett, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. "These individuals are living proof that Boys & Girls Clubs help create the pathway to a great future. As a result, they are passionate advocates for kids."
