Anthony Bourdain Says Paula Deen Is "Greedy"

By now, adventurous foodie Anthony Bourdain's public disdain for Paula Deen is old news. But he apparently just can't stop insulting the famous Southern food maven.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Bourdain, 56, didn't even try to downplay his true feelings about Deen, 64.

The two food stars have been engaged in a full-on celebrity fued since Deen announced in January that she suffers from type-2 diabetes. Her announcement coincided with a new online project and campaign with pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, which specializes in diabetes medication.

"Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later," Anthony previously said, referring to Deen's decision to only tell the public about her disease when it was profitable for her.

Deen responded by calling Bourdain's comments "very, very cruel" in Prevention magazine.

And now Bourdain has had the latest word GMA, defending his criticisms of the butter-loving queen of Southern food.

"This isn't about diabetes. Diabetes is a terrible illness that is epidemic in this country," Bourdain explained on GMA.

Bourdain claimed "there's a lot to admire about Paula Deen and her life." However, he called her "cynical" for allowing her brand's message to be "excess without guilt" when she knew "in a very personal way what this could and might very well lead to."

"And then turn around and roll out a five hundred dollar-a-month diabetes treatment -- I find that in excruciatingly bad taste," he added. "It's unconscionable, cynical and greedy. Thirty million dollars a year. How much money do you need?"

Bourdain's new season of No Reservations premieres next Monday at 9 p.m. ET on the Travel Channel.
