It's been almost a year since Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux went public with their romance, and things appear to be going swimmingly (if prepping to move in to a $21 million Bel Air mansion together qualifies as "swimmingly").
So what is it that makes Theroux -- whom Aniston got to know while filming the raunchy comedy Wanderlust -- such a keeper (aside from his stellar breakdancing skills, of course)? Jen opens up about just that in the May issue of Australia's Marie Claire.
"He's a protector, for sure," Aniston, 43, tells the magazine (as excerpted by Just Jared). "He's just a good human being, and so funny."
It helped that the Wanderlust shoot -- which took place in rural Georgia, hundreds of miles from the prying eyes of paparazzi, was such a good experience for Aniston.
"All of a sudden I began decompressing. It's weird, but it felt like living a normal life; almost like having your anonymity back. Nobody bothered us and we were protected as a group," she says of her time making the film. "There were no paparazzi and no secret, tricky little cell phone pictures being taken. I realized how paranoid and guarded and not trusting -- walled-in -- I had become."
That's actually a large part of the reason Aniston and Theroux opted to live in Los Angeles over New York City. Fortunately, Aniston has said her happiness is a "10-plus," so it seems like the move was worth it.
One thing that did make her nervous while on the set of Wanderlust, though, was having to bare her chest for a topless scene (she shows a little side-boob).
"There are always nerves when you shoot a scene like that," she tells Marie Claire. "But the adrenaline takes you through it and then you have the girls come in and cover you up immediately."
