Celebrating the release of his new book “America Again: Re-Becoming the Greatness We Never Weren’t,” Stephen Colbert paid a visit to “Good Morning America” today (October 2).
The “Colbert Report” host explained the dual nature of the message in his latest work- “It’s trying to capture what America needs right now. America’s perfect and it’s time to fix it. America has the best of everything including the best food.”
If given a chance to moderate a presidential debate, Stephen declared, “I would make them shoot rock, paper, scissors to see who gets the first question. I’d ask if they wear boxers or briefs.”
As for what Mitt Romney should do, Colbert noted, “I think he should just lash out randomly at Barack Obama. Maybe physically get up in his face, up in his grill, because right now Obama is the top dog.”
And regarding Jon Stewart's upcoming debate against Bill O’Reilly, Colbert seemed convinced of his Comedy Central cohort’s victory- “Jon Stewart will eat Bill O’Reilly’s liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.”
