Mariah Carey Is Home After Being Hospitalized For Contractions

Multi-platinum singer Mariah Carey, who turns 42 today (March 27), almost got a rather special birthday (or "anniversary") surprise. The mom-to-be tells fans that she and hubby Nick Cannon are resting at home after spending Saturday night in the hospital with early contractions.

"So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary!" Carey tweeted. "I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital. Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control. but hey almost came on 3/27 - happy anniversary in deed!!!"
