Anderson Cooper Strips for a Spray Tan with Snooki

Taking up an offer made by his favorite guidette, Anderson Cooper stripped down for his first ever spray tan - with the help of his friend Nicole ?Snooki? Polizzi, of course!

Making good on her summertime promise, the "Jersey Shore" starlet went on a tanning date for a clip that aired on today's episode of "Anderson," the TV host's all-new syndicated series.

After the 44-year-old journalist mocked Snooki's New York Times bestselling novel, "A Shore Thing," earlier this year, Nicole snapped back with a tweet, saying, "Thanks for reading my NY Times Bestseller Mista Anderstand Cooper. Love to help you get a 2nd book. Let's go tanning and talk about it."

Following up on their plans, Anderson took to the Big Apple's Beach Bum Tanning salon, where the unlikely duo met up for their joint fake-bake sessions with cameras in-tow.

Seemingly pleased with the looks of Cooper's half-dressed bod, Miss Polizzi gushed, "I had no idea Mr. 'Anderstand' had muscles. When he took off his shirt, he has this huge, like, peanut muscle. It was cool!"

Having had an unexpectedly good time, Nicole revealed her hopes that the two can bronze together on the regular, telling, "It was fun -- you'll be my tanning buddy now!"
