Shakira Joins Her Dad for Bogota Book Promotions

Usually she?s out promoting a new album or charitable cause, but last night (December 5) Shakira was all about drumming up interest in her father?s new project.

The ?Hips Don?t Lie? songstress joined her dad William Mebarak at the launch of his book ?Al Viento y al Azar,? which translates to ?In the Wind and at Random? in Botoga, Columbia.

According to a report, the book is said to be a collection of love stories, other pieces of fiction, and opinion essays.

Shakira edited and wrote the prologue to the book, stating, ?Not only did he give me life, he also kept inspiring me every day.?
