The Top 12 made an impressive debut with their live performances Wednesday night -- but one act still had to be the first to go on The X Factor.
Was it the seasonal-themed group Lakoda Rayne, or the slightly uneven Chris Rene or the unfortunately named Stereo Hoggz? None of the above! The first act eliminated was the group InTENsity, who sang "Kids in America" and "Party Rock Anthem."
When the groups InTENsity and Stereo Hoggz landed in the bottom two (not three like on American Idol or Dancing with the Stars), the acts were allowed to sing one more time, so the judges could have their final say. And the judges aren't exactly impartial, since they're each mentoring different acts.
But InTENsity's underwhelming performance of Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without U" disappointed all of the judges except for Simon Cowell, who thought Stereo Hoggz was even worse with their take on Janet Jackson's "Where Are You Now."
In the end, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger ultimately voted the Gleeky group off the competition.
The remaining competitors are Astro, Drew, LeRoy Bell, Lakoda Rayne, Rachel Crow, Chris Rene, Stacy Francis, Marcus Canton, Josh Krajcek, Melanie Amaro and the Stereo Hoggz.
