Oprah Winfrey kicked off her two-part Oprah's Next Chapter special with the Kardashian clan, all of whom took turns revealing surprising thoughts about their fame and popularity.
After arriving at Kris and Bruce Jenner's mansion in Hilden Hills, Calif., Winfrey sat down with the four Kardashian children: Kim, 31, Khloe, 27, Kourtney, 33, and Rob, 25, to ask them if all of their life choices are made to garner even more fame.
"For me, I'm still not comfortable with being famous," eldest child Kourtney tells Oprah. But the legendary talk-show host calls Kourtney on her comment: "Nobody would believe that the Kardashians would be uncomfortable being famous!" she says.
Oprah asks the adult kids what they feel about their mother's failed marriage to their late father, Robert Kardashian. Rob, the most private of the Kardashian siblings, reveals he had no idea his mother had been unfaithful to their father.
Kourtney, who is expecting her second child with partner Scott Disick, explains how her parents' divorce affected her.
"Maybe I'm kind of scared of marriage because of that," Kourtney says. "I'd like to [get married] someday for my children...but I know I'm just as committed if I'm married or not married."
Mama Kris had her own time with Oprah, who asked her one-on-one what it was like to discover her daughter was starring in a sex tape.
"Bad day," Kris says. "You do what a mom would do. I cried myself to sleep for a few nights, and then I said, 'I love you...we can get through anything.'"
Kim also discussed the infamous sex tape with Oprah.
"That's pretty much how I was introduced to the world. It was a negative way, so I feel like I had to work ten times harder to get people to see the real me," Kim says. She adds that she doesn't "know what I would have done" had her father been alive when the sex tape was released.
But as for her 72-day marriage with ex-husband Kris Humphries, Kim continues to stress that it was not a publicity stunt.
"We don't do anything for ratings. I think anyone who knows me knows that I fall in love hard," she says. Insisting she would have had a huge wedding no matter what, Kim explains that newlywed life wasn't what she imagined.
"Once we moved in, I knew that he was not the one." After apologizing to "anyone I might have hurt."
In the end, Kim says she's in a better place now. "I feel like I've had an epiphany over the last year for what I've been through, and I am that changed person just from my own experiences," she says. "I want babies. I want my forever, and I want my fairy tale."
And of course, Oprah takes the opportunity to ask what everyone is thinking: "Is Kanye West your new fairy tale?"
"Ah," says Kim with a smile. But viewers will have to wait until next week to see what she says.
Part two of Oprah's interview with the Kardashians airs at 8 p.m. ET on June 24 on OWN.
