Justin Timberlake: I Looked “Like a Moron” When I Was in ‘NSYNC

Stylish as he is now, Justin Timberlake is still haunted by the bad outfits of his past! In the May issue of Details, the pop star-turned-actor admits that he cringes to think of what he wore during his 'NSYNC years.

"There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in," says Timberlake, 31. "And in trying to conform -- we're marionettes! -- I ended up looking like a moron."

Aww, JT, don't be so hard on yourself! We all have awkward teenage years; it just happens that Justin's were captured for posterity. Let's take a look back at some of young Justin's worst style moments, shall we?

The Denim Cowboy Look
We don't know if it was actually made from an old pair of jeans, or if it was just supposed to look that way. We do know that it was custom-made -- because his then-girlfriend, Britney Spears, wore a matching dress and bag. Double jeopardy!

The Gangsta Hobo Look
For the 2000 'NSYNC World Tour, Timberlake and his bandmates modeled tuxedos that looked like they'd been run over by a car, then bedazzled. Justin went the extra mile by topping his with a glittery bandana.

The Is-He-Actually-Wearing-Cornrows Look
And yes, he actually was.

The Grown-Up Toddler Look
This is the phase where Justin sported giant over-sized shirts and a tangled mess of hair. We want to go back in time and give him a juice box.

Fortunately for Justin's many admirers (and for his fiancee, Jessica Biel!), his bleach-blonde, matching-denim days are long behind him. Now it's hard to find a Best-Dressed list that he doesn't appear on. And that's one thing we love about Justin: He learns from his mistakes!
