Over the past few years, the issue of bullying has become an epidemic in our country -- and celebrities (from Demi Lovato to Johnny Depp and Lady Gaga, who launched her own anti-bullying Born This Way Foundation) have come out in full force to lend their support in the fight against bullying.
On March 30, the new documentary Bully -- which follows the lives of five kids across the country who are experiencing being bullied -- will hit theaters and shed light on the rampant problem. In this iVillage exclusive PSA, Martha Stewart joins the cause and speaks out about the issue.
"It can be very scary to stand up to bullies," she says. "But when one person stands up, the odds are really good that others will, too."
But you don't have to be a celebrity to get involved in the important cause. Log on to Twitter today, follow @BullyMovie and retweet this message: "13 million kids get bullied every year. It's time to take a stand. Repost to stop Bullying. #BullyMovie." And lend your voice to the cause by going to action.thebullyproject.com.
Watch Stewart's PSA below and see Bully in theaters on March 30.
