Noomi Rapace Lands At WME After UTA Exit

TUESDAY UPDATE: WME’s Adam Isaacs, Dave Wirtschafter, and Brandt Joel signed Noomi Rapace who stars in Prometheus on June 8th. Now the actress should leave her management Magnolia Entertainment. MARCH 13TH EXCLUSIVE: The original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace has left UTA, according to rival agencies. When UTA freshly signed her after starring in the Swedish movie trilogy based on the Stieg Larsson crime novels, she immediately drew interest from all corners — directors, producers and studio production execs. Her reps compared her to Marion Cotillard, who appeared in a small foreign film, came out of nowhere to be nominated and then win the Best Actress Academy Award, then landed big roles in major studio tentpoles. She has done just that: she was quickly cast in Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and then landed a prime roled in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, the 3D sci-fi pic that is due out June 8. She is also attached to Brian De Palma’s remake of Alain Corneau’s 2010 thriller Crime D’Amour with Rachel McAdams; the action thriller Dead Man Down opposite Colin Farrell, being directed by her Dragon Tattoo helmer Niels Arden Oplev; and the graphic novel-based on The Last Days Of American Crime.
