Bethenny Frankel on Her Marriage Problems with Jason Hoppy

Bethenny Frankel has been married to Jason Hoppy for two years, and -- as anyone who has watched the Bravo reality show Bethenny Ever After knows -- their relationship hasn't been without its share of bumps. And Frankel herself admits that media reports claiming the couple's marriage was in dire straits weren't all that far off.

"We've been scared. The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side," Frankel, 41, tells People. "I think we have what it takes to make it work. I don't have a backup plan. It's not like shopping for shoes and getting a new pair. That's not what it's about."

The couple's troubled relationship has been detailed in full on Bethenny Ever After, but now Frankel thinks it might be time to put that show-it-all-on-camera part of her life behind her.

The former Real Housewives of New York star just returned home from spending two months in Los Angeles filming her FOX daytime talk show Bethenny, which is expected to get a full pickup for next year, and she tells People that she plans on giving up reality television for her talk-show gig full-time.

"It's the right thing for me -- and for us," she says, meaning herself, Hoppy, 40, and their 2-year-old daughter Bryn. "I love talking to women about what's going on with them. ... I'm done with putting my personal life and family on reality television. I went all the way, and I think it may be enough. Enough about me."

For the summer, however, Bethenny has other plans. "I'm on lockdown," she says. "I'm finally ready to become a housewife."
