Jennifer Lopez's Solo Madison Avenue Shopping Spree

After spending a romantic night out with her beau, Jennifer Lopez was spotted shopping at Barney's on Madison Avenue in New York City on Monday afternoon (July 23).

The 42-year-old performer looked lovely in a sheer white ensemble and enjoyed her time in the Big Apple after her performances in Newark, NJ. She shared her thoughts on the weekend writing, “2 Amazing shows in Newark!! Thanks so much for all the #LOVE Boston here we come!! #JloDanceAgaintour2012.”

In related news, it appears that “American Idol” has finally found its replacement for the former judge as it was recently announced that Mariah Carey is joining the show.

“We are proud to have one of the world's greatest-ever female singers join our show,” said creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “Mariah defines the word 'Idol' and will inspire every singer that has the honor of performing in front of her.”

Miss Lopez announced that she was leaving “Idol” to focus on her singing and acting career earlier this month.
