Ashley Hebert: SO In Love!!

At times, she wondered if this was all a mistake. But in the end, The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert says she found the happy ending she dreamed of.

This summer, we've seen Ashley roasted to her face, ridiculed and jerked around by Bentley Williams, and ditched by two other men late in the season.

Her take on those ups and downs? All's well that ends well.

Sweet Ash

"There were certainly moments where I thought I'd made a mistake agreeing to be the Bachelorette and thought it wasn't going to end well," she said.

"But you come out a stronger person and learn so many things about yourself. Ultimately, I know I did the right thing. I'm so happy, so in love."

"I found a great man. It's going strong – we've been hanging out and talking all the time. I hoped I would leave with this type of relationship."

With the season finale looming Monday night, Hebert is anxious to go public with the identity of the last man standing - but is it Ben or J.P.?

"I'm really ready for this to be over so we can go into the light of day and get on with normal everyday life," the 26-year-old Maine native says.

Who do you think she should pick of the final two?

TCA: 'Raymond' Creator Slams TNT For Axing Ray Romano's 'Men', 'Jackie' EP Talks About Pitching To 'Roomful Of Fear'

post thumbnail Ray Richmond is contributing to Deadline's TCA coverage. On a lively and colorful afternoon TCA panel promoting the fall PBS four-hour series America in Primetime, Everybody Lives Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal blasted TNT for its recent decision to cancel Raymond star Ray Romano's latest series, dramedy Men of a Certain Age. "Those idiots put six episodes on in November and then waited until July to schedule the next six as if they were trying to make sure the audience didn't connect to it," Rosenthal said. "Then they cancel if because the audience doesn't connect to it. That's why I say the only thing I hate about this business is the business part." Rosenthal often punctuated with a zinger the discussion, which featuring him, Nurse Jackie co-creators Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem, Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman and PBS series' exec producer Tom Yellin delve into what makes primetime tick. The idea behind the PBS series is to promote the idea that all primetime scripted entertainment is built on the foundation of all shows that have come before it. In the series, Yellin notes that Murphy Brown creator Diane English originally received a note from CBS that the title character shouldn't be a recovering alcoholic in her 40s but a 30-year-old woman coming out of a spa. ... Here she is! Kelly Rowland celebrated her third solo album release, Here I Am, on July 27 at the top of the ber-posh Standard Hotel in New York. The event, hosted by Mot Rose, was filled with flowing champagne and giggling girl talk among the former Destiny's Child trio.

The queen "B" herself, Beyonc, arrived a little after 1 a.m. to partake in a few dry martinis (with olives, of course) and a glass of bubbly while doing a tipsy two-step with Kelly, Michelle Williams and R&B singer Maxwell. Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries: Wedding Cake Tasters!

On the hunt for the perfect wedding day dessert, Kim Kardashian enjoyed an afternoon of cake tasting at Hansen's bakery in Los Angeles, California on Friday (July 29).

The beautiful bride-to-be looked stunning in a classic black and white dress as she made her way around the famed delicatessen alongside Kris Humphries as well as her mom Kris Jenner, brother Rob and sister Khloe, who also bought her big day dish there when she wed Lamar Odom in 2009.

Ki and her basketball player beau tested their taste buds on on a delicious variety of lemon, chocolate and vanilla cake - and looked to favor the one with chocolate filling the most!

As we previously reported, the pair is set to tie the knot in a strictly black tie ceremony in Montecito, California on August 20.

'Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes' Stars Give Apes Top Billing

Tom Felton, James Franco and other castmembers say come for the apes, stay for the story ... or just the apes.
By Kara Warner

HOLLYWOOD — There is enough intrigue, presumed destruction and primate shenanigans in the trailers for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" to entice more than just the fans of the 1968 original into theaters when the film opens next week. But when MTV News caught up with the principal castmembers at the Hollywood premiere on Thursday, we asked them to sell us on a few more of the film's must-see elements, aside from their furry co-stars. Basically, if people come to see the apes, what will make them stay?

"Wow, James [Franco], Freida [Pinto], Andy [Serkis], everyone else," Tom Felton said, speaking to his co-stars' appeal. "There is a mixture of CGI and special effects that we've never seen onscreen before, along with a strong story and a strong message: Humans can't play God too much. We should not overstep our boundaries when it comes to manipulating Mother Nature."

Pinto countered that it's all about the apes. "I think this is one of few films that really give them a voice as well," she said. "Of course, 'Planet of the Apes' did as well, but 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' gives them a voice in a very revolutionary way."

One of the prominent primate voices heard is that of Caesar, played by seasoned motion-capture performer Andy Serkis, who, according to Franco, is the main reason why the film is any good.

"The apes, I think Andy Serkis and WETA should get top billing," Franco said. "They stole the show; they're incredible."

Actor John Lithgow, who plays the father of Franco's character, was the only one who thought folks will start out loving the apes and leave loving the humans.

"They [will] stay for the people, and the extent to which the apes become people," he said. "It's a story, it's a great story, that's why they stay."

Check out everything we've got on "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."

TV FAB: VH1 Reveals FULL Official ?BASKETBAL?L WIVES: L.A.? Cast & Premiere Date

We previously reported that "Basketball Wives" was expanding to LA, and we also told you that Shaunie O'Neal isn't too happy about the cast or the "jumpoff" drama in store. And now we can confirm the cast is exactly who has been reported (plus a few extra), and also when the full court drama starts. Oh, and one of Chris Brown's former jumpoff is in the mix.

Get the deets inside....

Drama fans get ready. VH1 Monday nights, starting August 29 at 8pm, will be all about what it looks like when ladies in expensive shoes throw drinks at each other during the "Basketball Wives LA" debut.  And today, VH1 has announced the full cast of ladies who I am sure will have us glued to the TV sets.

GLORIA GOVAN – fiancée of LA's Matt Barnes, Gloria may be fairly new to the West Coast, but not to viewers of Basketball Wives. After relocating to Los Angeles and surviving Barnes' first season playing for the most recognizable team in the world, she's keeping busy both as a mom to her twins and taking on a new challenge: easing into the Southern California lifestyle.

LAURA GOVAN – sister to Gloria Govan, Laura may be rebuilding her life with just her kids and brand new baby to keep her company, but she's never alone as Govan family ties run strong. Like her sister, Laura has no trouble speaking her mind or sticking up for family when things get rough.

KIMSHA ARTEST
self-described 'partner' of Ron Artest and mother of three, Kimsha is proud of her New York (Jamaica, Queens) roots and not a fan of living in Los Angeles. After seventeen years with Artest, she's rolled with the punches when it comes to the basketball lifestyle. Kimsha refuses to resign herself to the LA "party" lifestyle, also shying away from the bling.

IMANI SHOWALTER – ex-fiancée to player Stephen Jackson and mother of three, Imani has fought hard against being stigmatized since parting ways with her famous ex and isn't shy to confess that she hasn't dated since. A former singer with a New York girl group, Imani says she's in the process of "rediscovering what makes me happy again... I want to find my passion and that’s where I want to go.”

MALAYSIA PARGO – wife of Chicago's Jannero Pargo, Malaysia grew up in Compton, California before meeting her husband at 22. On being a basketball wife, she confesses that she always has her guard up and that one has to be a strong individual in order to live this lifestyle because it will "swallow you up and spit you out."

JACKIE CHRISTIE – wife of retired player Doug Christie, Jackie claims to have the strongest marriage in basketball, and it shows: she and Doug renew their vows every year! Bulldozed in the press for being overbearing and controlling in her relationship, she's not one to hold her tongue, even with other players' wives. She loves the spotlight and seems unfazed by her reputation as a polarizing figure in the world of basketball wives.

DRAYA MICHELE – Draya is an alleged former stripper, and currently a "model" and aspiring actress in Los Angeles with several music videos and magazine covers to her credit. A controversial beauty with a history of dating Chris Brown and ball players, the funny and engaging Draya says "I have a million haters. I open the list of haters and it rolls across the floor."

REALLY need to start a campaign to ban the word HATERS.  Anywho, this cast sounds pretty interesting.  August 29 at 8pmET/PT.  I'll be watching...

Lady Gaga To Release Photo Book

'Lady Gaga' will feature more than 350 pictures by fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

Move over, Oprah. Lady Gaga is truly the new Queen of All Media. Mother Monster announced on Thursday that she will be releasing a hefty coffee-table book on November 22 featuring more than 350 pictures of her taken over the past year by controversial fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

According to Publishers Weekly, "Lady Gaga" will feature never-before-scene images of the singer taken during a 10-month period in which Richardson followed Gaga on the road, in the studio and everywhere in between as he was given complete access to her everyday life. The pictures range from the Lollapalooza festival in August 2010 to the final shows of this year's Monster Ball.

See photos of what Lady Gaga may be up to in her new book!

Gaga will write the foreword, and Jamie Raab, executive vice president and publisher of Grand Central Publishing, which is issuing the book, said in a statement, "We are proud to be publishing this remarkable collaboration between Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson and anticipate that it will be one of the most stunning, provocative and coveted books of the 2011 holiday season."

A limited edition of the book will be released next year.

Some of the images Richardson has been taking of Gaga over the past year have already raised eyebrows. Richardson, who is known for his provocative, often explicit images, took some topless shots of the singer in February for a Supreme ad as well as the instant classic shots of Gaga draped in a bikini version of her infamous raw-meat dress for the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan, which also featured shots of her male alter ego, Jo Calderone.

He also collaborated with Gaga for the May issue of Harper's Bazaar, in which he captured her on all fours in just fishnets, a nude bra and white boots on top of a mirror-covered piano.

Britney, Gaga, Bieber Help Texas Car Crash Orphans

The story could not be more tragic: On July 3, the Berry family was driving home from vacation when a car crossed into their lane on a remote west Texas highway, hitting them head on. The parents, Joshua and Robin, were killed, and their three children, Peter, 9, Aaron, 8, and Willa, 6, suffered severe injuries. Peter and Aaron were both permanently paralyzed due to devastating spinal injuries and will require longtime care. Willa suffered broken bones. The now orphaned children have struck a chord across the United States, and celebrities, including Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have taken up the fundraising cause for the Berry kids.

These three stars -- as well as Ellen DeGeneres, Khloe Kardashian and a slew of others -- have changed their avatars on social media sites like Facebook or Twitter to an image of two hands making a heart shape, and are urging their fans to donate to showyourhearts.org, the website for The Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust.

The trust is raising funds to help pay for the children's medical bills, as well as their extensive rehabilitation and physical therapy needs. It is hoped that they can raise enough money to set up funds for the childrens' future education.

"Change your profile picture today & make sure to #showyourhearts," Spears tweeted today, attaching a photo of herself making the heart shape with her hands.

Lady Gaga changed her Facebook avatar to the heart-shaped hands image, and updated her status to read: "Donate to the Berry Children. We're showing our hearts. Change your art and show yours too."

Justin Bieber also changed his Facebook and Twitter profile pics to the heart-shaped hands, and posted a message urging fans to "step up" and donate to the cause. "It is a really sad story, but this is an opportunity for me and my friends to do something good for others," the 17-year-old singer tells People. "We can use our influence to do good. We are just doing our part and I hope those kids get something positive out of it."

You can donate to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust here. Additionally, texting BERRY to 85944 donates $10 to the fund. So come on, folks: Show your hearts.

'Cowboys & Aliens': The Reviews Are In!

Western meets sci-fi flick is full of 'nifty scenes,' but 'unappealing' overall, critics say.
By Terri Schwartz

Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig in "Cowboys and Aliens"
Photo: Universal

With a concept as inspired as "Cowboys & Aliens" and an A-list cast that brings together James Bond and Indiana Jones themselves, it's hard to imagine what could possibly have gone wrong between bringing the movie from the production room to the big screen. MTV's Splash Page blog found a lot to love about the movie despite its flaws, but other critics have not been so kind.

Maybe it was the fact that director Jon Favreau took the summer blockbuster too seriously. Fans hoping for a tongue-in-cheek mash-up of a Western and an alien movie are in for a straight-laced action flick without a lot of room for humor, like in Favreau's "Iron Man" films. Even the movie's charismatic leads couldn't rescue "Cowboys & Aliens" from its identity crisis, critics are saying.

Still, there was plenty to love about the movie as well. "Cowboys & Aliens" is certainly a fun ride to take this summer, so before you head to the multiplex this weekend, take a gander at the "Cowboys & Aliens" reviews we lassoed up for you.

The Story "The whole aliens-on-the-frontier incongruity never comes to much, really. There are nifty scenes, like the horseback riders battling silvery skeletal airplanes, but what 'Cowboys & Aliens' lacks is a good story. Basically, the characters — [Daniel] Craig's enigmatic outlaw, [Harrison] Ford's scowling boss, a tribe of Apache — must put aside their differences to form a posse and defeat the invaders. Who do we care about onscreen? For all of Craig's edgy charisma, no one. 'Cowboys & Aliens' has fun moments, but it's a plodding entertainment because it mostly tastes like leftovers." — Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly

The Leading Men "In Daniel Craig, the movie has what feels awfully like the second coming of Steve McQueen. Maybe it's the laser blue eyes under the broad forehead, or the laconic refusal to speak except when absolutely necessary, but Craig has a presence here that feels downright mythic. ... The chance to be as mean as he wants to be energizes [Ford], whose storied crankiness finally finds a home. It's a character part, and you can sense Ford's relief at letting another man shoulder the load. Consciously or not, there's a generational passing of the baton just under this movie's surface, and it helps immensely that Craig's up to the task." — Ty Burr, The Boston Globe

The Cowboys and the Aliens "In Hollywood's ancient prime, maybe a third of all movies were Westerns. But those days are as dead as the horse-mounted cavalry; in the past 30 years, the genre has been resuscitated only when some powerful director wanted to make a movie like the ones he grew up loving. So 'Cowboys & Aliens' has got to get to the aliens pretty damn quick. Even here, Favreau and his crew sprinkle a few memorable moments: the aliens' low-flying scout planes, looking like 10-winged titanium dragonflies and lassoing the townspeople for abduction; a desert vision of an upside-down steamship, which momentarily summons the ghost of Werner Herzog's 'Fitzcarraldo'; and the recurring image of Craig retrieving his cowboy hat, whether he's fighting off human varmints or escaping from the aliens' stronghold. A man ain't a man without his Stetson." — Richard Corliss, Time

The Concept "Cowboys versus aliens is a concept that may make you smile in anticipation, but wipe that smile off your face before buying your ticket, because the film takes its subject seriously — deadly seriously in the case of Harrison Ford, who plays a nasty rancher with the snarls and scowls that have become his trademarks, as if in penance for being so charming in the past. One interesting twist has a posse of cowboys teaming up with the Apaches they fear in order to vanquish the aliens, but the storytelling, punctuated by incoherent flashbacks, is often inscrutable." — Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal

The Final Word "A leaden mash-up of western and science-fiction elements that ends up noisy, grotesque and unappealing, this Jon Favreau-directed film features five producers (including Brian Grazer and Ron Howard), six executive producers (Steven Spielberg and Ryan Kavanaugh among them) and six credited writers, led by 'Star Trek' rebooters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and 'Lost's' Damon Lindelof. No wonder the film plays like a business deal more than a motion picture. Listed as a producer, not a writer, is Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, whose concept for the original graphic novel inspired the film. That's right, 'Cowboys' doesn't even retell the story the graphic novel does; it sets out on its own. This is not a satisfying journey." — Kenneth Turan, The Los Angeles Times

Initial Autopsy of Amy Winehouse Inconclusive!

replacement1_wide.jpg
The celebrity and fan outreach has been extremely supportive in regards to Amy Winehouse's shocking death, but friends and family have just learned that they will have to wait until October to discover what really caused her death. The initial autopsy that was performed today has been declared inconclusive.

Experts are going to have to wait on the results of toxicology and histology tests before anyone can say for sure what caused the "Rehab" singer's death. Her body has been released to the family so they can hold her funeral as soon as possible since that is in line with Jewish tradition.

They expect to make the formal announcement of cause of death on October 26. Until then, her family is planning her funeral and memorial. Chris Goodman, a friend and publicist for Amy, told TMZ, "At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed."

Crystal Harris Apologizes For Saying Too Much About Hefner

After her recent indiscreet interview with Howard Stern, where she insisted that "(sex) lasted like two seconds," Crystal Harris has now admitted that she said too much.

"The Stern interview scared me, he's harsh," the 25-year-old Playmate tweeted on Thursday night. "I was unprepared and blurted out things I shouldn't have said, I'm sorry."

Hefner, 85, accepted Harris' apology for her comments to the shock jock and said to his followers on Twitter, "Crystal apologized for her Howard Stern interview, which I appreciated. It didn't have much to do with reality."

When a follower responded to his tweet, Hef replied, "I think Crystal told Howard Stern what he wanted to hear. That's her MO with most everyone." And he insisted to another follower, "I don't blame Howard. Crystal shouldn't have been booked on the show at this sensitive time."

The Playboy mogul -- whose sexual prowess has been defended defended by other Playboy Playmates -- has said that Harris "lied" about their relationship, but other than that has remained reticent about the sexual details. He even turned down an offer from Howard Stern to come onto the show and tell his side of the story.

Hefner tweeted that he didn't want to "throw her under the bus." A classy move indeed that his former fiancee should take to heart.

Newlywed Tamera Mowry Speaks On Interracial Love & Marriage, Does New Photoshoot With Hubby Adam

YBF chick Tamera Mowry just got hitched to her long time love Adam Housley this past May.  And she's still gushing with excitement about their wedding day.  And about how happy she is she chose Adam as her hubby.

The bi-racial actress dished to Essence.com about people dating outside their race.  And we've got excerpts of the chit chat, plus the couple's new photoshoot, inside....

When Tamera Mowry--twin sis to Tia Mowry--married Fox correspondent Adam Housley, she did so without seeing any color.  Check ut what she had to say about their interracial love:

ESSENCE.COM: You are no longer a single lady. Congrats on the big wedding! What’s married life like?
TAMERA MOWRY: It’s amazing! I feel like I have a lot more strength, and I have this person who has my back, and no matter what he’s going to be there for me. That just in itself makes me feel a lot more confident and a lot more safe. It feels amazing -- it really, really does. Adam and I, we haven’t lived together, so we’re going through that right now. Moving is challenging, but it’s rewarding. That’s the best I can describe it. Because once you go through a challenging situation then you overcome it you’re like “yes, we can do this." Adam has to do most of the moving so I kind of feel sorry for him in that sense. He’s moving into my place and one of the main things that we’re going through right now is that I don’t want him to feel like a visitor. It’s our place. We’re kind of going through the transition where you say “my place” and then you’re like, “no, wait, it’s our place.” Plus, saying “my husband”, that feels amazing too. There’s something that just goes through your body when you say those words.

ESSENCE.COM: Do you have any advice for women considering dating outside of their race who may be apprehensive about it?
TAMERA: Well, I always find these questions so interesting, because I’m a product of an interracial marriage -- and I never really grew up seeing color. I honestly realized that my dad was White when someone told me in middle school. They’re like, “Oh your dad’s White?” I’m like, “Oh, my gosh, he really is White.” I knew what race was, but it didn’t matter to me. Yes we are an interracial couple. The thing is we do still deal with that. People always question that. If anything, it hurts, but we do have more people supporting us than making stupid comments. We kind of just ignore it and focus on the positive. Love is love and a lot of times people might be in the situation they’re in because they put barriers up. Like some people only want to date a model, or an actor, or an athlete. You’re only limiting yourself. Open up to what’s out there because God made us all.

She seems so uber happy and in love.  Check out Essence.com for the entire interview.

And Tamera's also featured in the new Get Married magazine with a new fun & gorgeous photoshoot with wedding dresses and her hubby Adam:

The couple said during the shoot: "I call him Housley. If I call him Adam, he knows he's in trouble." "She never calls me Adam." "Riiiiiiight."

Fabulous.  And pics of her in different wedding dresses for the shoot:

The "Tia & Tamera" star's full interview will be in the new issue of Get Married on stands now.

And re-visit pics of Tamera & Adam's wedding HERE.

'120 Minutes' Returns Saturday With Matt Pinfield

'Who says hell doesn't freeze over?' iconic MTV host says of the show's much-anticipated return.
By James Montgomery, with reporting by Rya Backer

Between 1986 and 2003, alternative music had a permanent home on MTV in the form of "120 Minutes," the late, great Sunday night program that played host to everyone from the Butthole Surfers to XTC, and gave American audiences their first taste of (then) up-and-coming acts like Radiohead, Blur and the Smashing Pumpkins, to name just a few.

When "120" disappeared into the TV hinterland in early '03, it left a gaping hole in the hearts of music fans everywhere, one "Subterranean" just couldn't fill, no matter how hard it tried. And for eight years, we waited for its return, longing for our fix of the latest and greatest in alt (indie? buzz?) hoping against hope that someday, the show would come back to us.

Now, the wait is over. On Saturday, July 30, "120 Minutes" returns with iconic host (and downright obsessive music fan) Matt Pinfield once again serving as master of ceremonies. And if you think you're excited by the news, well, you can't imagine how Pinfield's feeling right about now.

"I couldn't be happier. I mean, I love the show and, over the years, I've heard from everyone from Jack White to the Black Keys, tons of musicians, music fans, people that run some of the biggest websites for music in the country, have all come up to me in the past and said, 'You know, "120 Minutes" and you talking about music is why I wanted to get into the music business.' And there's no bigger compliment than that," Pinfield told MTV News. "So it's exciting and it's great to do it again. And who would've thought? I stopped hosting the show in 1999 ... so that's 11 years since I hosted, 16 years since I started hosting regularly. So it's amazing to see things come full circle. Who says hell doesn't freeze over?"

And if you're worried that the new "120" may not be the show it once was, Pinfield promises that he's determined to keep things the way they were. So, yes, there will still be plenty of videos. And yes, there will be off-kilter interviews with plenty of indie acts, both established and new (the first episode features the likes of PJ Harvey, Dave Grohl, Cults and Das Racist, among others). In fact, about the only difference will be the set.

"There will be differences: I am no longer sitting on those road cases, because my legs are too short and I can't touch the ground," Pinfield laughed. "I think that the way that people digest music and information now has changed quite a bit ... so the difference will be, we will still and I'm very proud to show full videos -- at least 12 a show -- but there will be a lot more guests and a lot more action and a lot more things will be happening a lot faster."

And even if times have changed, Pinfield said the mission of "120" remains the same: to shine a spotlight on bands that deserve it, and to turn folks on to new sounds from around the globe.

"I love Joy Formidable, Sleigh Bells, Black Angels, Das Racist, there's so many cool things, and that's, for me, the exciting part of it," he said. "I love the fact that we're going to show a few of the old classic clips and bring some of the history, but always, the most exciting for me is playing new music for people and being able to turn them on to new things that I'm excited about."

MTV2's "120 Minutes" with Matt Pinfield premieres Saturday, July 30, on MTV2 at 1 a.m. ET/10 p.m. PT.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" Premieres in Los Angeles

It's one of the summer's most-awaited movies, and the stars were out for the Los Angeles premiere of 20th Century Fox's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" on Thursday night (July 28).

Held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, cast members James Franco and Tom Felton greeted fans and media lining the red carpet while leading lady Freida Pinto brought her beauty to the festivities clad in an eye-catching green frock.

Also on hand for the west coast film debut were actors Andy Serkis, Jamie Harris, David Oyelowo and Loretta Devine, as well as director Rupert Wyatt and producer Peter Chernin.

Of the filming process, Mr Franco recently dished about what it was like working alongside Mr Serkis, as he said, "On set, Andy would be dressed in an outfit that looked like gray pajamas, with a ton of wires around him and a small camera at the end of a wire armature pointed at his face to capture his expressions. He looked nothing like a chimpanzee, but he was so good at capturing the behavior of a chimpanzee that I guess my actor?s imagination took over. It was like acting with a chimpanzee who has amazing acting instincts."

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is set "in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy."

The film will be swinging into theaters worldwide beginning August 5th.

Electric Daisy Carnival Movie Screening Causes Near Riot

Police shut down the event after Kaskade announced his free show on Twitter.

An impromptu street rave announced on Twitter to celebrate the Hollywood screening of a documentary about the Electric Daisy Carnival nearly turned into a riot on Wednesday night when police attempted to disperse a huge crowd that gathered on a downtown street.

Popular electronic musician Kaskade tweeted about a special DJ set earlier in the day, telling fans to gather at 6 p.m. in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, promising, "Me+BIG SPEAKERS+MUSIC=BLOCK PARTY!!! RT!"

The show was intended to celebrate the debut of the rave documentary "Electric Daisy Carnival Experience." But when hundreds of dancers converged on the invitation-only premiere and began throwing bottles and other objects at police, who were trying to disperse them, officers in riot gear responded in force, according to the Los Angeles Times.

While invited guests tried to get into the screening, thousands of non-ticketed dance fans converged en masse and ran up against police, who were trying to clear Hollywood Boulevard for the premiere. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the near-riot happened when the street dancers ignored warnings from cops that Kaskade's set had been canceled and that they should disperse. Even after Kaskade sent out some follow-up tweets telling fans to "chill" and leave the area, officers were forced to push crowds away from the Grauman's entrance, setting off the clashes.

The movie, directed by video legend Kevin Kerslake, chronicles the 2010 edition of the massive music festival, with interviews from such stars as Kaskade, David Guetta and Steve Aoki. The EDC moved to Las Vegas this year after the widely reported crowd-control problems and drug-related death of a 15-year-old girl at the 2010 show.

LAPD officers detained dozens of revelers after the melee, with most of them eventually released without charge. Two people were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism in connection with damage to police cars.

Drew Barrymore Directs Best Coast's New Supervideo: Watch A Sneak Peek Now!

Barrymore jumps behind the camera for Best Coast's new 'Our Deal' clip.
By James Montgomery

Chloe Moretz in the "Our Deal" supervideo

Ever since they released their debut disc, Crazy for You, last summer, Cali fuzz-poppers Best Coast have become your favorite "cool" celebrity's favorite "cool" band, championed by celebs from Miranda Cosgrove to Jimmy Fallon (and just about everyone in between).

So, it should come as no surprise that the Coast's new supervideo for Crazy for You track "Our Deal" is quite the celebrified thing, featuring cameos from the likes of Donald Glover, Alia Shawkat, Chloë Moretz and Tyler Posey ... and as an added bonus, it's directed by the long-reigning Queen of Hollywood Cool: Drew Barrymore.

And while the full "Our Deal" video won't premiere until Tuesday, we're proud to present you with a 30-second sneak peek of the clip right now. And judging from what we've seen so far, much like Best Coast's music, the vid pulls heavily from '50s-style teen dramas — everything from "Rebel Without a Cause" to "Grease" — with Moretz (the breakout star of "Kick-Ass") and Posey (he's the dude from MTV's "Teen Wolf") portraying starstruck lovers who just happen to be members of rival gangs, the "Day Trotters" and the "Night Creepers."

Will Moretz and Posey's love prove stronger than their colors? How many switchblade fights will we see? And how awesome will the inevitable "drag race through the L.A. riverbed" scene be? You'll just have to wait and see, when Best Coast's "Our Deal" video premieres in full Tuesday on MTV.

Kellan Lutz Strips Down, Gets Fondled for Dylan George

Kellan Lutz and Anna Vyalitsyna are selling jeans in a new ad campaign for Dylan George. But they have us fooled in the following photos.

Snapped inside a Beverly Hills hotel room, the duo might as well be selling sex, considering the steamy shots and lack of a shirt on the Twilight Saga star. Not that we're complaining, of course! Click on each pic to enlarge it...

How is Lutz in such ridiculous shape? He credits the movie Immortals, telling Access Hollywood of training for it:

"We had workout regimes and [we're] just constantly eating. We always had someone bringing us chicken, tuna, steak sometimes, but every hour it seemed like."

We'll say it for you, ladies: thank you, film producers!

DJ Khaled Says Fat Joe's Weight Loss 'Inspired Him'

'[It's] just more inspiration for him to make more hit records,' Khaled tells Mixtape Daily.

Celebrity Favorites: DJ Khaled
"Fat" Joe is no more. The Bronx, New York, rapper has recently been dropping pounds like he drops hit records, losing more than 80 pounds to date. No word yet as to whether he will consider a name change, but his friend and frequent collaborator DJ Khaled is in full support and astonished by his buddy's new physique.

"Joe lost so much weight that I can't believe it," Khaled told Mixtape Daily. "I was just on the phone with him and he was like, 'Khaled I wear a 1X. I walk into Bal Harbour, go to Gucci and whatever.' "

Shopping in the ritzy North Miami Beach neighborhood is not the only perk to being lighter. According to Khaled, Joe's diet has also reinvigorated his artistic muscle. "Now he goes into any store and buys a 1X. He said he feels the best he ever felt and he's back in the studio working," the We the Best Forever DJ said. "I think by him losing all this weight, it just inspired him, just more inspiration for him to make more hit records."

Back in June, Joe revealed to the New York Daily News that he went on a diet following the deaths of a number of his close friends. "I always loved being fat, obviously. I'm Fat Joe," the rapper told the newspaper. "If I could gain 1,000 pounds and be healthy, I would love to do that. The biggest killer of people is food. It kills more people than AIDS or gun violence or war, anything you can name.

"Everybody keep catching strokes and heart attacks, and what happened to me was, like seven of my friends passed last year from heart attacks, and they were all 32, 34 years old, 35. And I said, 'I got kids, I can't leave 'em like that.' This world is too hard for me to leave my kids, without me supervising and being there for them."

Robert Pattinson's Edward 'Becomes A Man' In 'Breaking Dawn'

Director Bill Condon says 'Twilight' star deftly tackles finale's most emotional scenes.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

"Twilight" fans who've already read the best-selling books upon which the films are based have a sense of what to expect from the final two films when they hit theaters. Specifically, what emotional ups and downs will unfold onscreen, and which characters will be most impacted.

"Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon recently revealed to MTV News what he predicts will be the most emotional moments in the final installments. He also opened up about how stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have tackled the acting challenges presented to their characters, Bella and Edward. (Spoilers ahead for those who haven't read the books.)

"There's this really quiet moment when Bella discovers that she's pregnant and Edward leaves the room having said, 'Carlisle will get that thing out of you,' " Condon recalled, "and she realizes, 'Oh my god, I've got trouble ahead.'

"Edward, the person she's been longing for all this time is actually on the other side of this very basic issue about this baby that's growing inside of her, and she puts all that aside and she turns and she has a moment where she catches herself in this mirror. It's actually a scene, just Kristen alone, where she falls in love with the idea of being a mother and it's just simple, but I think it's very moving."

Condon went on to say that Pattinson's work in the film is equally moving, noting how much he has evolved as an actor. "[Edward] really becomes an adult [in this film]," Condon said. "In the beginning, he has this beautiful toast to [Bella] where he talks about, 'You're so lucky if you find that one person who can see you for who you are and still accept you and allow you to move beyond who you've been.' And that's what Rob does in this movie," the director added, "He sort of puts aside Edward's self-loathing and all that stuff and actually becomes a man.

"So at the end, when Bella's given birth and she's died and he's trying to bring her back, there is stuff in there where the camera just holds him for a long time where he's just doing everything he can think of to make her live and to beg her to live," Condon revealed. "It's just really powerful."
