Robert Pattinson: Hoping for Jeff Buckley Role

He?s something of an aspiring musician himself, and Robert Pattinson is said to be keen to play the late Jeff Buckley in an upcoming film.

The ?New Moon? stud is pulling out all the stops in hopes that he?ll be selected for the gig, as he is a huge Buckley fan.

An insider told press, "Rob is obsessed with this project and is doing everything he can to land the part. He has already told his business team this is his passion and they agree it could be the film that makes him a legitimate Oscar contender."

Buckley?s mother, Mary Gulbert, shared her opinion- ?Robert is a fine young actor. I'm flattered he's been linked to this project. When the time comes we'll give everybody an opportunity to be seen and heard."
