Kristen Bell Dishes About Having Babies with Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell is perfectly happy with having a long engagement with no wedding date in sight. The actress even thinks a baby carriage could come before marriage to her fiance, Dax Shepard.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star, 31, and her comedian intended, 37, have been engaged for more than two years, but she says there's no rush to walk down the aisle.

The ring is on my finger," she told Us Weekly at the House of Lies premiere in L.A. Wednesday. "That's all I care about."

Regardless of when they decide to get hitched, Bell does confirm that she and Shepard will start a family at some point.

We'll do it. We'll have some babies," Bell said. "It will be our gift to America."

Bell's House of Lies costar Ben Schwartz approves of the idea, saying the couple is "so fun together" and that watching them parent would be like "a hilarious and terrible sitcom."

It would seem Bell and Shepard are uniquely qualified to handle a sitcom-esque family, seeing as they're both comedic actors with extensive primetime experience. Shepard already plays a TV dad on the hit family series Parenthood, and House of Lies (premiering this Sunday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. ET) is Bell's third starring television gig.

"I realized that I had been missing TV. I like movies a lot, but I love TV," the former Veronica Mars and Heroes star told Us. 

"Something fell into my lap that I'm so grateful for, because I loved the script and hearing about Don Cheadle's attachment and it being on Showtime -- it was the three ingredients that I wanted so badly."
