Katharine McPhee Rushes Home To Watch "Smash"

Ready to take to the friendly skies, Katharine McPhee was spotted leaving Los Angeles via LAX Airport on Monday (February 20).

The "Smash" star wore a loose sweater over a flannel top with skinny jeans and brown ankle boot as she passed through the terminal's security checkpoint and boarded her outbound aircraft.

Earlier in the day, the 27 year old tweeted, "Yeahhh! It's Monday and @NBCSmash is on tonight!! I have to get on a flight and hurry back home to NY. :-)".

As for her show, "Smash" revolves around the creation of a new Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe.

Tonight at 10 p.m. on NBC, McPhee's character will get back to her small town roots by performing the country hit "Redneck Woman".
