Nick Stahl: Wife Calls Off Search for Missing 'Terminator' Star

Nick Stahl has gone missing for the second time -- and his wife refuses to search for him any more. TMZ reports that Rose Stahl has called off the search for the Terminator 3 star, who disappeared last week after prematurely checking himself out of rehab.

"I'm backing off," Rose told the website on Thursday.

So... does that mean Nick's wife knows where he is? It's kind of unclear. What she told TMZ is that she can't force him to come home before he's ready.

"He knows exactly where home is," she said. "It's the loving thing to do for him, myself and our daughter."

Nick, 32, vanished for the first time in May, then resurfaced two weeks later to check himself into a 30-day rehab program. Unfortunately, the actor, who has long struggled with drug addiction, gave up on rehab after less than three weeks.

"He walked out against doctors' advice. He just didn't want to be there anymore," a source told E! News on Saturday. "It is very sad. He's still struggling and has yet to hit rock bottom. Everyone is extremely worried about him."

On Monday, Rose Stahl confirmed that Nick had disappeared once again. Although friends and family were searching for him, an insider told E! News that Nick had "not made contact with anyone," and that the search party "had no solid leads."

This time around, Rose tells TMZ that she's not filing a police report or involving the law in Nick's disappearance. Last time, Nick reached out to some friends via email after he'd been gone for more than a week, reportedly sending an "unemotional and apologetic" message that he was okay and planned to enter rehab. The email didn't explain why he went missing, and wasn't sent to his wife.

Earlier this year, Nick, who has recently guest-starred on the TV shows Body of Proof and House of Lies, was forbidden by court order from seeing his toddler daughter unless he passed a drug test. His wife said he agreed to the terms in order "to try and inspire his recovery." Hopefully his daughter will continue to inspire his recovery -- and maybe inspire him to find his way home.
